Kirstin A. Mills was born into the world on the eleventh of December, 1984. Growing up in rural Sydney, Australia, her artistic abilities showed from an extremely early age, continuing to develop along with her detailed and abundant imagination. Her first ink artwork was sold at an exhibition at the age of just four! This artistic ability expressed itself in almost every way possible, with detailed and imaginative drawings appearing in the borders of early exam papers and often taking priority over the answers! From the same age, this artistic flair was coupled with an intense love of stories and literature, and the two have coincided ever since. Seeking the wealth of fantasy, fairytales, legends and mythology that have existed over time, she pursued her interests into University life, where she completed her honours degree in English Literature, and finally into the public domain as a gifted fantasy artist. For Kirstin, it isn’t just about the artworks on the canvas or the words on the page. Seeing life itself as an ever-evolving artwork, she is all about appreciating the art of life and the magnificent story it has to offer. As her life celebrates art, so her art celebrates this life and its magical energy.

Kirstin takes pride in her artwork and her business and constantly strives to improve upon her already high standards. As a small, home-based business based in Australia, The Magical World of Kirstin Mills has seen a rapid growth since its inception midway through 2007. Kirstin had been drawing and creating for as long as she could remember, but upon discovering the potential of the internet to share her love of fairies and magic (this was, she admits, discovered rather late...her nose had been in books before that!), she decided to bring her art to the public gaze. Entering a few pieces in some online galleries, she was delighted to see how many people responded to her majestic and enchanting images of fairies, mermaids and magical subjects with love and adoration! Encouraged, she battened down the hatches and speedily learnt the language of the internet so that she could create her own online gallery and store (artists will always be possessive in their creative ventures!). After a few makeovers and many lessons learnt, Kirstin's main website and retail store, www.kirstinmills.com was born, enjoying excited enthusiasm from customers across the world.

From an initial modest offering of a small range of artwork prints and some keyrings and magnets, Kirstin worked hard throughout the rest of 2007 to better her quality and grow her range so that more people could enjoy what she enjoyed creating. Her collection of artworks and line of beautiful giftware went from strength to strength.
